The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Manager will be reporting to the Director of Operations and responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering ,including deploying our continuous improvement program. The ideal candidate will have a strong CI and LEAN manufacturing background, with strong leadership abilities, extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing, and a proven track record of driving process improvements. Must be a self-starter, proven team player who is able to work in a fast-paced, and flexible environment.
How You Will Do It
Coaching, developing, and holding accountable the manufacturing engineering team to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. Develop and implement strategies and processes to standardize manufacturing activities to reduce time and cost
Own manufacturing process planning and execution for new product introduction
Work with facilities and engineering teams to improve machine output, uptime, and efficiencies
Drive continuous improvement efforts across the organization, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and waste elimination.
Ability to identify gaps in process and procedures and close them with input from all relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to support production activities and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
Metric Driven management. Develop. Monitor, and update key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the manufacturing engineering team.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in aerospace manufacturing.
What We Look For
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Hungry, Driven, Self-Motivated and takes initiative in an ambiguous environment
Flexibility to learn and grow professionally in the organization
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD/CAM software and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
Enforce company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, cross training and safety regulations.
