Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY


Responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the Education and Training Department. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review all plans and schedules to be followed during the training day
  • Performs all duties regularly assigned to the academic or career technical instructor
  • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner
  • Maintains appropriate accountability and work productivity standards
  • Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
  • Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities
  • Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties
  • Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
  • Other duties as assigned
Training day runs from 8:00am-3:30pm. Scheduled 15 minute breaks take place at 9:45am and 2:00pm and there is a 1 hour break for lunch for a total of 6 hours worked. Substitute Instructors are paid a flat rate of $125 per day.



Qualifications




QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school required
  • A valid RIDE teaching certificate preferred
  • Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred
