Service Center Health Technician at Best Buy

Job Description:

As a Service Center Health Technician, you’ll be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and packaging products for vendors based on client need. You’ll clean, disinfect, test and ship devices for our third-party vendors, and at times, their patients. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as you perform multiple roles within the department daily.

This role takes place at Geek Squad city, our 240,000-square-foot repair center in Brooks, Kentucky.

What you’ll do


  • Inspect reprocessed technology by cleaning, disinfecting, visually inspecting and testing all devices

  • Perform basic electronic repair independently, such as triage, testing, troubleshooting and completing systems updates

  • Identify and report all nonconforming materials, devices and accessories

  • Assemble and configure devices based on customer-specific kits

  • Follow software prompts and detailed instructions to install and configure operating systems

  • Ensure all necessary components are included in each order, following checklists as appropriate

Basic qualifications

  • Able to stand and sit for long periods of time

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to lift weight up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation

  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

  • Able to multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detail

  • 6 months of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing technology products

  • 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred qualifications

  • Consumer electronics manufacture repair certification

  • Previous experience working in logistics or similar environment

  • 6 months of experience with Best Buy's proprietary systems or other related systems

  • 6 months working in a Quality Management System environment
