Job Summary




Certified/Registered Medical Assistant works with the nursing staff independently to deliver routine nursing care and assessment of the pediatric patient.


  • Coordinates and organizes pertinent patient information.

  • Communicates and interacts with patient, families, staff and physicians and administration.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program


CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS (MAY VARY BASED ON DEPARTMENT NEEDS).



  • CPR - BLS Certification required upon hire or within 1 month with onsite training and certification

  • Registered Medical Assistant (Per department needs)

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification awarded through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA). Medical Assistant Certification program other than those listed above will require THMG Leadership Approval.

  • Multitasking


Preferred Skills



  • Two (2) or three (3) years of experience working in a medical office

  • Pediatric experience preferred

  • Cardiology background preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
