Warehouse Lead

3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin - off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets. This new Health Care Company will be a leading global diversified health technology company with:

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Warehouse Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads the Warehouse Team through receiving, storing, distribution and shipment of spare parts, finished goods and assets. Supervises warehouse staff in absence of Warehouse Supervisor.


• Implements procedures to ensure accurate inventory, good turnaround times, and a safe environment for all employees. Provides frequent guidance to warehouse floor staff on inventory issues and best practices.


• Determines root cause of problems and implements innovative solutions to meet customer needs. Analyzes and accurately resolves inventory issues. Documents processes.


• Supports Spare Part shipments and special projects across the globe.


• Coordinates all aspects of domestic and international shipping, including picking/packing/labeling and special identification on hazardous materials. Processes orders including weights, appropriate shipping documents, and completion through Oracle.


• Collaborates with buyer/planners, quality, accounts payables, and engineering to support business operations and resolve any shipping/receiving issues.


• Ensures team performs proper record retention and provides shipping information to outside customers and support teams.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED from AND 5 years of Warehouse/Logistics related experience in a private, public or governmental environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• College coursework in Logistics or Material Management is preferred


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems.


• Good communication skills by phone or email.
