At HORNE, Healthcare Consultant Managers play a vital role in client management, implementing solutions, and achieving project outcomes. This position will take ownership of project workstreams, engage with clients daily to ensure successful outcomes, and support operational meetings. Senior Consultants are responsible for preparing and delivering well-structured reports and presentations to clients and internal leadership. Leadership, coaching, and mentoring of consultants to ensure high-quality deliverables are also key responsibilities.

  • Manage and oversee the successful completion of various healthcare client projects within a team environment 

  • Conduct research and data analysis for client reports and presentations

  • Lead in solving strategic issues requiring analytical, financial, and writing skills

  • Final review of client presentations

  • Communicate business improvement opportunities

  • Work closely with the Firm’s management team

  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the year and possess a thorough knowledge of each client and all facets of each client's business.

  • Attention to client service and adding value to client's businesses is an integral part of the job requirements.

  • Business development is a crucial aspect of this role


Supervisory Responsibilities



  • Mentor and develop staff consultants and team

  • Maintain familiarity with qualifications of all staff members and review staff assignments for appropriateness.

Work to be performed in HORNE office setting or remotely


 


Physical demands



  •  Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.


 


Required education and experience



  • Bachelor’s degree in science, economics, finance, statistics, or related field is required

  • 5+ years of experience with a national healthcare and/or management consulting firm

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel tools and techniques

  • Creative solver of complex problems, with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills and the ability to work independently with a team to develop solutions

  • Passion for helping clients achieve success

  • Demonstrated track record in project management and leadership


Preferred Licenses, Certificates or Knowledge



  • MBA, MHA, MHSA, MPA, MPH, MPP, MA, or MS or a similar graduate degree is preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience or managerial experience
