SUMMARY



The Supervisor, Breast Imaging (technologist) position will work closely with the system manager of mammography and will oversee the breast imaging program, training of technologists, regulatory requirements for all mammography locations, and standardizing mammography operations.



STATUS: Full-Time



LOCATION: Imaging Center - RGH



DEPARTMENT: Imaging



SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00p



ATTRIBUTES



  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mammography Technologist, Senior, Lead, or equivalent positions.
    • Previous supervision, management or leadership equivalent experience.
    • BLS Certification.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversight of breast imaging service line operations & workflow.
    • Modality subject expert and resource for maintaining standardization.
    • Responsible for maintaining compliance and continued readiness for MQSA inspections including but not limited to personnel files for radiologist, technologist and physicist, and Mammo QA record review.
    • Reviews and preps for interventional mammography examinations. Reviews cases with the radiologists as needed.
    • Assists/performs ACR submission and image evaluation.
    • Evaluates image quality and provides regular feedback to Mammo Technologists.
    • Performs or has extensive knowledge of the various mammo procedures and equipment including stereotactic.
    • Acts as a liaison between Radiologist and Mammo Technologists.
    • Partners with other departments to facilitate scheduling of procedures in a timely manner.
    • Collaborates with the physicist as needed for QA and radiation safety needs.
    • Ensures a strong working relationship with the Breast surgeon's staff.
    • Responsible for all staffing schedules as assigned.
    • Provides feedback to manager concerning daily issues and problems.
    • Participates in developing and monitoring staff competency.
    • Assists in performance management conversations and HR accountability.
    • Assists in new technologist's recruitment, and on-boarding and orientation, and safety protocols.
    • Provides feedback and delivers performance appraisals to Mammo Technologists.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.



PAY RANGE: $34.00 - $45.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
