Job Summary


The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all matters specific to assigned accounts. The Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, managing customer orders, forecasting, and inventory.


Job Responsibilities



  • Process timely and accurate Purchase Orders in accordance with customer needs

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to customer

  • Monitor the integrity of Bill of Material (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy

  • Schedules and negotiates with supplier in order to meet delivery to customer

  • Analyze customer forecasts

  • Pricing verification and updates

  • Develop electronic tools to manage customer accounts

  • Establishes supplier schedules for purchased components

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

  • Develop trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors

  • Develop and maintain good working knowledge of end user applications of assigned accounts

  • Coordinate with management to assure optimum lead-time and inventory levels

  • Manage aged inventory and disposition as needed

  • Prepare monthly reports on account status

  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

  • Advise management of challenging customer requests and escalate issues as needed

  • Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications



  • Strong Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing experience

  • Inventory Management
    Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends

  • Results driven individual with high performance standards of themselves and others; with the ability to work within a team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales or related field or associate’s degree with equivalent relevant work experience 

  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Customer service oriented

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer accounts
