The SGH Heavy Civil Division provides interdisciplinary (structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering) services for buildings, infrastructure, underground structures, and temporary construction. Our staff is experienced in evaluating the performance of existing structures and the design of new structures. We implement innovative techniques for design, analysis, and project management. SGH laboratories support our design and investigation work with material, mechanical, and environmental testing. We collaborate with other SGH professionals nationwide to bring our collective skills to bear on unique and challenging projects. This combination of experience, capability, and dedication to improving the practice of engineering positions SGH as a leading provider of engineering services.
We want someone passionate about structural engineering and problem solving.
SGH seeks a motivated and dynamic engineer to grow our structural engineering practice with emphasis on repair and rehabilitation of constructed works, investigation and performance evaluation, and adaptive re-use of existing structures. This position will be part of our Heavy Civil Division. Typical project work includes investigating deteriorated or underperforming structures, conducting structural evaluations for new and existing structures, preparing detailed calculations, developing drawings and specifications, writing investigative reports, and preparing client presentations, managing project budgets and schedules, assisting with mentoring and development of junior staff, interacting with clients and contractors, and managing construction projects.
