Overview: Our client is looking for a Litigation Associate focused on insurance defense. You'll run cases
with partner support, emphasizing self-starting, down-to-earth demeanor, and expertise in law and motion, research,
discovery, and depositions. Grow with them as they offer an excellent professional development and room for growth.
Responsibilities:
Independently manage cases with partner support, emphasizing self-direction and initiative.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
Conduct depositions and attend hearings.
Progress to handling mediations and other case aspects as you grow.
Collaborate with partners, associates, and paralegals in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Colorado Bar.
1-3 years or 4-7 years of experience in litigation, preferably in commercial and/or insurance defense.
Strong litigation skills, including law and motion practice, legal research, and drafting pleadings and motions.
Experience with discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
Ability to conduct depositions and attend hearings independently or with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented
environment.
Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative in case management.
Commitment to professional growth and development within the firm.
Familiarity with Colorado court procedures and litigation practices is a plus.
Compensation:
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience).
Bonuses: Discretionary
