Enhance your IT career at the Air Force Research Laboratory's Supercomputing Center in Dayton! SSI is seeking motivated and eager candidates, looking to take the next step in the IT field supporting our nation's warfighters. This position allows you to build your skills in system administration and network support while supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) in transitioning technology into superior defense capabilities through the strategic application of high-performance computing, networking, and computational expertise.

Position supports a 24x7 IT operations center and shift assigned may vary between days, nights and some weekends. Some overtime hours are expected and will be compensated.

The successful candidate will perform the following job duties:

• Provide technical assistance to computer users
• Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via phone, or electronically
• Asist with accounts, monitoring of data center and server room operations to include physical, security, access and control
• May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
• Assist with special projects to include decommissioning of equipment
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

· High School and 4 years working experience, or Associate's and 2 years, or Bachelor's and 0-1 years experience

· Must be a US Citizen

· Must have active Secret clearance and/or be clearable to Secret

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

· 1 year of experience in various HPC systems, various HPC technologies

· A+, Net+ or Sec+ certifications

· Cray/Cray Ex, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or customer architecture • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Linux variants operating systems (OS) • InfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects • Portable Batch System (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers • Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs • Nvidia graphic processing units (GPU)s • ITIL Foundation
