The EW Scripps Company is seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Data and Analytics to join our Data Insights and Analytics team. This individual will guide multi-disciplinary technology teams in the achievement of technical project objects of complex and strategic programs.
Work to document LOE estimates, task assignments and dependencies and assemble them into coherent project plans
Work with Analytics, Data Management, and business stakeholders on development of project schedules
Work with development teams to track progress against the plan, help identify and document problems impeding progress and work with team leads to find solutions
Provide regular updates on progress
Be an advocate for good/better process through constant evaluation, with an eye towards improvement
Work with development team on maintaining and developing software development tool chain, working to ensure visibility, efficiency and transparency throughout the development process
Coordinate and participate in the project post-mortem process
Contribute to business valuation of data and analytics projects
5 years of experience - ideally in both technology development and project management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to allocate and manage resources effectively to meet and prioritize project demands while considering the dynamic nature of data assets
A highly collaborative working style with an ability to remain friendly and professional while persistently working to gather the information necessary to accurately assess status and holding team members accountable for deliverables. A good sense of humor helps!
