Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Clearwater, FL that is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst.

Responsibilities:


  • Process biweekly and weekly payrolls using UltiPro HRIS system in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner

  • Ensure time records are complete, accurate, and approved in accordance with established deadlines

  • Review time reporting records to ensure time is properly approved by the team member's Manager; Notify HR if Admin is approving time

  • Provide accurate audit trail for all manual edits in WFM and Core

  • Complete the balance sheet for each payroll processed to ensure payroll was complete and accurate. Maintain support for balance sheet in standard folders

  • Review user files and ensure only active team members are included

  • Stay current on UltiPro notifications and trainings

  • Create custom UltiPro reports as needed

  • Answer team member questions and troubleshoot issues, as needed

  • Support quarterly and year-end tax reconciliations and reporting requirements

  • Produce payroll information needed to analyze tax reconciliation and reporting requirements

  • Coordinate with field all team members' overpayments

  • Work with HR to ensure all team members are posted properly in the payroll system

  • Identify and implement improvements in the payroll process, including but not limited to payroll processing, payroll taxes, record retention, etc.

  • Maintain payroll visibility to the field

  • Help management analyze personnel expenses

  • Ensure the payroll department is utilizing all UltiPro HRIS (or other carrier) tools available to the best of our ability

  • Manage relationships with vendors and carriers with respect to payroll and benefits

  • Create and maintain training documents to document the entire payroll process from submission to processing and ultimate entry into the GL

  • Review all items reported externally for completeness and accuracy







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Accurate, consistent and timely payroll processing, record keeping and reporting in accordance with established deadlines and policies

  • Effective communication with managers and team members

  • Ability to drive change and improve processes & procedures

  • Ensure payroll information is kept confidential at all times

  • Financial analysis to improve company profitability

  • Internal and external customer service






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
