Essential Functions of the Job:
Calibrate instruments per established procedures.
Conduct testing to verify accuracy and ensure that all quality control standards are met.
Adjust equipment as necessary.
Document calibration procedures and results.
Maintain calibration events/records in APE calibration software.
Gather and send out tools for off-site calibration.
Schedule on-site calibration
Must be able to work in a machining environment.
Education:
Highschool Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Experience:
1-2 years calibration experience
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Working knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in the use of computers.
Good math and technical skills.
Practical experience in precision equipment and calibration.
Adherence to standards and procedures.
Excellent time management.
Ability to read and interpret blueprint and specification requirements.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Must be able to use calipers and micrometers.
Physical & Environmental Factors:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee, generally works indoors within manufacturing area.
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud.
The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status.

Pay Range: $22 - $29/hour
