We are currently seeking a Contract Manager that will lead and be responsible for the business relationship with our partners to build our innovative products. In this role, you will lead the cross-functional efforts to identify, engage and enable the best partner for our consumer hardware business. You will be responsible for developing the strategic relationship with our partners, including negotiating commercial agreements, negotiating cost associated with NPI builds and OpEx in mass production, optimizing the collaboration between the teams and developing long term strategy to grow a robust partnership. You will work closely with Hardware engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain Strategy and other cross-functional teams to create an efficient and innovative supply chain.


Here's What You’ll Get to Do



  • Craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.

  • Create and maintain relationships with suppliers/customers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.

  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.

  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.

  • Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to what’s best for the company.

  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.



    Here’s What We’re Looking For



    • Communication: A Contract Manager must be able to communicate ideas effectively to the company, to the other parties involved in the contract and to stakeholders to keep everyone apprised of contract-related matters.

    • Negotiation: Negotiation is essential for a Contract Manager, as it’s their job to get the most benefit to the company possible out of any contract considered.

    • Confidence: A key aspect of successful contract management is confidence. It takes a strong attitude to successfully negotiate and execute contracts, as well as an understanding of when to walk away and when to stand one’s ground.

    • Finance Skills: In order to evaluate whether or not a contract is good for the company, a Contract Manager must have the necessary financial skills to determine exactly how the company would benefit.



    • 5+ years’ experience of progressive experience with primary focus on Contract Manufacturing in the high-volume hardware manufacturing.

    • Proven background in supplier/evaluation/selection, predictive cost models, contract negotiations and supply base management.

    • Experience operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    • BS degree in a related engineer discipline or equivalent experience.


    Preferred Qualifications



    • Broad experience in factory operations, quality, hardware and electrical engineering, product safety and compliance, logistics and trade compliance.

    • Experience navigating through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple work threads to maximize impact.
