Role reports to: Customer Strategy

Location: Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.

Travel %: 10%

Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $97,000 to $166, 750. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors

What will you do

The Manager of Category Design & Fixturing Neutrogena Makeup, is responsible for the in-store merchandising strategy and execution of our fixturing approach, developing and leading go-to-market strategies that drive profitable growth, product launches, and coordinate the efforts of commercialization planning to drive business success.

This role will serve as a liaison between sales, marketing, finance, project management, and supply chain, providing voice of customer to internal strategy teams and having ownership for the translation of the commercial strategy into our merchandising approach. The manager will lead a team to develop and execute commercialization of new and existing products through our merchandising fixtures to achieve established distribution & revenue targets. The manager will support product life cycle management, including mitigation of returns in partnership with the customer strategy lead. The manager will partner closely with external fixture partners to develop and execute the fixture components to deliver to retail stores for annual reset.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain timeline of retailer reset calendar and coordinate deliverables across external vendors, internal strategy team, and retail customers
  • Maintain NPI tracker and collaborate with cross-functional team to forecast and monitor sales, distribution, and other KPIs.
  • Own the in-store consumer fixturing strategy for Neutrogena Makeup. Partner with Marketing to establish in-store creative assets and merchandising principles to maximize purchase basket and customer value.
  • Lead discussions with retail category buyers and merchandising teams to adopt Neutrogena Makeup merchandising solutions. Provide voice of customer (VOC) to corporate strategy team to enhance collaboration between J&J and retail partners.
  • Own fixturing P&L and flawless execution.
  • Create and promote an agile, inclusive, people-first environment in the workplace.

Required Qualifications


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 8 years of related business experience required. Experience in the Health and Beauty industry (HBA), Retail Merchandising, or Category Management preferred.
  • Ability to navigate and influence decision-makers up and down, with and without direct authority, to ensure a fully-aligned customer/company business plan.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Strong leadership presence and ability to tailor skills and presentation style to a variety of key decision makers.
  • Demonstrated cycles of success leading, developing, and executing commercial activation strategy plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead relationships with cross functional and other internal teams.

  • Ability to work well on a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities successfully is required.
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, and commitment with a strong bias for action and prioritization.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated ability to work confidently and respectfully at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
