Position Summary:  The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for architecting, designing, and developing custom services in our environment. Capable of working as a technical leader, mentor, and project champion for our engineering and development efforts. This role will include shared hands-on responsibility in many areas, including development, system administration, and application administration.

Priorities:

• Hands on service/application development and system/application administration


• Service/application requirements gathering, design, and architecture


• Documentation and operational support


• Configuration and support of third-party applications and platforms


• Provide day-to-day supervision and mentorship of junior staff members

The pay range is $125,000 - $135,000. Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked, and applicable agreements, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and optional disability insurance, sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked, Vacation pay of 3.08 hours for every 80 hours worked, paid holidays (6 days annually), three personal days (prorated based on start date), bereavement pay and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred


• 5+ years solutions architecture experience in projects that span both hardware and software solutions


• 5+ years related System and Network administration work experience

Technology Skills:

• Strong mobile-first design experience (apps, responsive web design, etc)


• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and best practices


• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, virtualized, containerized, and cloud environments


• Strong knowledge of software engineering technologies and development languages, including but not limited to: javascript, python, C#


• Knowledge and experience in Agile Methodology, lifecycle, and best practices
