SUMMARY
Stampede Ventures Inc, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Welder/Maintenance Tech for its vehicle and trucking fleet in Nome Alaska. The Welder/Maintenance Tech will perform various welding and repairs on trucks trailers and equipment in the Nome Fleet in accordance with all manufacturers' recommendations, and company policy.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.
Work with the Shop Foreman to repair maintain all equipment in AGC, BSDC, SQI and SVI's fleet and keep it in safe, working order.
Maintain accurate maintenance records of all work done to equipment.
Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Must have a valid Alaska Driver's License
3+ years of experience welding and fabricating.
3+ years of Mechanical experience on equipment ranging from lite duty passenger vehicles through heavy hauling on road tractor trucks.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Ability to Weld, fabricate and perform repairs on equipment in the Nome Fleet.
Ability to work independently without supervision.
Preferred
Valid Alaska Commercial Driver's License, Class A
Certification in Welding

This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
