  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 years of Management / Supervision experience in a similar manufacturing environment such as aerospace or CNC Machining;

Or

  • 10 years of work experience in a machining manufacturing environment and
  • 5 years of management/supervision experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of Management / Supervision experience
  • Demonstrated success in leading multiple process improvement projects within a manufacturing environment

We are looking for a process improvement and goal-oriented Machining Operations Manager to lead the Machine Shop and Heat Treat Departments.

JOB SUMMARY

Machining Manufacturing Manager is required to lead the day-to-day operations of the Savannah Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of Supervisors, Machine Operators, Programmers and Engineers. You also have a passion for executing to a plan and a drive for achieving results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shipment of products in accordance with customer requirements, free of damage, with all required documentation.
  • Interprets company policies and procedures for employees and enforces consistency and sustainability.
  • Develops and implements measures to improve machining operations, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists team members in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate direct reports and team members to achieve work goals.
  • Collaborates with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Adheres to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements and attends required training and/or meetings.
  • Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work Instructions.
