TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Designer I in Middleton, TN.

Responsible for transforming initial rough draft product designs into
workable designs utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software This position interfaces with various departments to achieve the production of a world class elevator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Transform initial rough draft product designs into solid models, 3D layouts, 2D components and assembly drawings using AutoCAD
    and/or SolidWorks.

  • Create technical drawings from ideas, concepts, instructions and diagrams into workable product designs.

  • Create and update detailed drawings of designs according to changes in specifications, building plans and/or survey data.

  • Using specialized design and experience to create technical drawings from ideas, concepts, instructions and diagrams into workable product designs.

  • Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to established specifications and standards.

  • Achieve proficiency in over 25% of the product line design work within the cross-training matrix.

  • Work under close supervision for coaching, training and skill development.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design or relevant field preferred.

  • One or more years of design/drafting experience is required, preferably in an architectural, structural or mechanical design environment.

  • Ability to understand requirements and goals of projects to produce workable designs according to specifications required.

  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend technical drawings and survey data required.

  • Knowledge of commonly-used drafting concepts, practices and procedures required.

  • Experience with 3D modeling (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) required.

  • Must be able to understand and closely follow instructions, rough product designs and specifications.
