We are currently seeking an insurance professional to join us as an Assistant Vice President, Program Management. This position is a hybrid role (3 days in office/2 days remote) based out of Warren, NJ.



What You'll Do



  • Manage the full scope of strategic programs to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget


  • Effectively collaborate across functions to solve problems and keep projects on track by collaborating across functions including: product, underwriting, technology, operations, actuarial, finance, and more


  • Identify program risks and issues and ensure they are closely tracked and managed to resolution in a timely fashion.


  • Provide objectivity and transparency on program status and effectively communicate to senior leadership


  • Combine your P&C knowledge and technical know-how to design solutions and processes in collaboration with business and technology teams


  • Delve into the details of a problem as needed to provide structure and direction to the team and get work back on track





Who You Are



  • You are a professional who has successfully led complex, strategic business programs in the P&C industry. You are passionate about execution and solving challenging problems. You are collaborative and able to work with all types of people from front line staff to highly technical experts. You value direct communication and view it as critical to identifying issues and mitigating risks. You have a strong knowledge of project management methodologies but also know how to "right-size" them to fit a specific program/project. You lead by example when challenges are encountered by remaining level-headed and keeping teams focused on solutions. You enjoy working hard in a fast-paced environment.





What you'll need



  • 15 years or more of program and project management experience


  • Insurance domain subject matter acumen in multiple functional areas and lines of business


  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with cross-functional teams.


  • Ability to meet deadlines with high-quality work products in a fast-paced environment.


  • Highly organized with an attention to detail.


  • Knowledge of various project management and delivery methodologies; agile familiarity required


  • Excellent written and verbal communication


  • Ability to influence others


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline


  • Focused on execution and meeting commitments even if challenges are encountered


  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills


  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
