OH facility as an EH&S intern. The EHS Intern will help meet the demands of both safety and environmental compliance for the Company. The EHS intern will assist with environmental data collection

consolidation

and report preparation. This position is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position

the intern will learn how to take skills acquired in school and apply them in a manufacturing environment under the direct supervision of the EH & S Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist EHS team with projects aimed at compliance assurance

  incident reduction

  
  

  and program consistency between sites.

  
  
• Policy and training program development: the intern will assist with development of a safety policy and training program based on an OSHA regulation. They will work with the EHS Manager as part of the development process.
• Coordinates directly with other EHS professionals and administrative staff as necessary to gather information required to enhance EHS knowledge and meet project requirements.
• Preparing and submitting internal and external reports and related documentation

  including formal presentations to small and large groups

  
  
• Interfacing and coordinating information between internal/external entities

  with varying perspectives and interests

  
  
• Evaluating hazards

  exposures

  
  

  and general impacts associated with operation of process equipment

  
  

  facilities and projects

  
  
• Participating in incident investigations

  field audits

  
  

  and other incident causation and prevention activities

  
  
• Participating in emergency planning and response activities
• Minimum 20 hours a week during the summer and school year

• Interest in a career in Safety

  and Environmental.

  
  
• Ability to be flexible in duties and analytical processes.
