Linxon is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team in Raleigh, NC. The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating engineering activities across all segments of Linxon’s energy infrastructure projects including AIS/GIS substations for utilities, industry, data centers, renewable energy projects and turnkey battery energy storage systems (BESS) during sales as well as execution stages.

What will you do?

Team Leadership:


  • Lead and manage engineering team comprising of lead engineers and subject matter experts (primary, secondary, civil/structural and BIM disciplines) to deliver high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring adherence to tender / project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project engineering plans, identify resource requirements, and allocate tasks effectively.

  • Monitors engineering progress against project schedules and budgets.

  • Manage allocation of engineering resources as required to accomplish goals.

  • Assist the line manager in implementation of project engineering vision.

Technical Oversight:


  • Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and design to implementation and commissioning.

  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Sales Support:


  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical proposals, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for BESS, EPC, and substation projects.

  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to lead technical discussions and address client requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with client expectations.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments to resolve technical issues and mitigate project risks.

Quality Assurance:


  • Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of engineering excellence across all projects.

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department, seeking opportunities to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver added value to clients.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and learning, encouraging team members to stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.

Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in engineering management within the energy industry, with a focus on renewable energy, substation and battery energy storage system projects.

  • Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, power systems, and renewable energy technologies.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
