Job Description:

Under the general supervision and direction of the Security Manager or Security Captain, the Armed Commissioned Security Lieutenant is to lead, motivate, train, and supervise security team in protecting the staff, patients, visitors and assets of Texas Children's. To support Texas Children's by providing a visible supervisory responsibilities in planning, organizing, directing and supervising the worked performed by subordinate personnel. Provides day-to-day supervision of department operations at assigned locations and conduct routine inspections of personnel protection equipment and department authiorized firearms and document as needed. To efficiently handle customer inquiries, requests for assistance and ensuring smooth traffic flow. To provide support to the Security Operations Manager and security department by providing input and recommendations to improve daily operations and policies and procedures. Performs patrol duties, covers shift, provides breaks to Officer on POSTs when necessary and takes decisive actions during shift operations.Texas Children's Hospital West Campus is Houston's first community hospital designed, built and equipped exclusively for children in one of the city's most rapidly growing communities in the area from Sugar Land to Bryan-College Station, Texas. Located at I-10 and Barker Cypress, our 515,007-square-foot hospital houses the only 24/7 pediatric emergency room in the Greater West Houston area, four operating rooms, 16-bed pediatric intensive care unit, 46 acute care beds, advanced imaging services including MRI and CT scans, a neurophysiology sleep lab, a pathology lab and a full-scale pharmacy.
