Work Location: Hybrid coming into the Malvern, PA or West Reading office at least 3 days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday being set office days.

What you’ll do:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for: researching advanced technology trends in area(s) of expertise; identifying emerging trends and initiating research projects for team members; designing innovative solutions using new technologies; recommending short-term alternatives when appropriate; creating prototypes and leading initial development and testing through to production; defining enterprise-wide scoped SLAs to ensure requirements are met or exceeded; escalating problems as required based on SLAs; developing client satisfaction and capacity planning metrics; coordinating assessment of emerging technologies typically as the lead subject matter expert; evaluating and recommending new projects or tools for the organization; overseeing cost benefit analysis and presenting options to management teams; assisting in the resolution of support issues escalated by senior operations or development personnel; providing technical expertise across business functions; articulating relationship between business and the data and technology that support the business; identifying opportunities to improve business processes via new technologies; making recommendations and influencing long-term technology strategy and planning for multiple business units; assisting in development of RFPs and responses to new business opportunities; acting as subject matter expert to various project teams; determining dependencies and prerequisites; creating CRFs for assigned tasks and ensuring CRFs are approved in accordance with project timeline; and defining production readiness and transition acceptance criteria and ensuring criteria are completed before new system implementation.

What specialized skills or experience are necessary for the role in order to be effective and properly support the business function the position is supporting? Functional experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Data back-up, Vulnerability & Patch management, Domain Certificate Authority Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM/Intune) are critical. A general understanding of Cisco Hyperconverged VMWare, MS Exchange, Intune Administration, and Application Engineering/support areas is also required.

  • Experience around Setting up SCCM 2016 Servers, Distribution Servers, Site Servers
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Active Directory group policy, Orchestration, and automation
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Data Collection and analysis
    • Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision-making.
  • Technical Environment
    • Has a basic understanding of their technical environment and assigned systems. Consult senior system engineers as needed.

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the area of Desktop management
  • Minimum 7+ years of functional, hands-on experience with design, implementation, configuration
  • Management of the Active Directory environment
  • Management of Group policy and DNS
  • Management of the Data backup environment
  • Management of Vulnerability & Patch management,
  • Oversight of Domain Certificate Authority Management and (SCCM) Microsoft Endpoint configuration manager
  • In-depth expertise in Autopilot, Co-management, Conditional Access, device policies, MAM for IOS and Android), in-depth understanding of Azure Active Directory and Office 365, Security (LAPS, Bit locker, MBAM, Device Guard, Credential Guard)
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills on Intune
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of AD/GPO/Azure Cloud integration.
  • Must have experience with Windows Hello for Business, Certificate 802.1X)
  • Must have experience in Infrastructure design and architecture setup with Intune
  • Must have experience Administer, integrate and co-management (Intune-SCCM)
  • Must have experience in Device Management - Intune MDM
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Cloud/Hybrid Cloud Management. Onboarding and configuring and transition to cloud
  • Experience in Setting up SCCM 2016 Servers, Distribution Servers, and Site Servers
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Active Directory group policy, Orchestration, and automation

  • Management of Application Engineering/Support teams
  • Experience working with Help Desk and Deskside Technician teams (Management of teams preferred)
  • Team Lead role in any of the above-listed areas of focus
