Warehouse • Cary, North Carolina

Summary

Warehouse Associates helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Pull inventory for shipments
  • Non-CDL delivery driver duties
  • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
  • Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
  • Load finished product onto truck
  • Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • Use technology to help manage the logistics process
  • Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Current and valid US drivers license and 21+ years old to drive for the company
  • Valid DOT medical card if will be driving vehicle over 10,000 lbs. (Preferred but Not Required)
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware
  • Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
