This is a senior position within our Modernization Business unit leading a strong team of Engineers on custom project work for clients across the country.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering team within the Modernization Business. Resolves day to day project issues and promotes teamwork amongst internal and external customers. Promotes the highest level of safety awareness and ensures compliance by direct reports. Actively participates in the design, development and deployment of resources, tools, systems and processes required to fulfill specific customer requirements.

Interview, hire & mentor electrical engineers/designers
Manage the implementation of all assigned projects so as to complete on a timely manner with a commitment to quality, professionalism, timely responsiveness, and within the estimated hours as quoted
Facilitate development and training of engineering personnel, including setting and monitoring of individual goals
Assimilate, filter, and propagate new design/installation/service procedures and tools
Achieve expected KPIs assigned for the electrical engineering discipline
Review and approve project designs
Establish project design standards and conventions while facilitating improvements to quality system
Stay abreast of new development/releases of technology and apply to projects, processes as necessary
Maintains an up-to-date thorough knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations
Contribute to engineering and overall services group strategic planning
Assist sales and quotations personnel with project feasibility and cost estimates in order to develop a customer base through superior service and technical expertise
Contribute with Production and quality assurance department to ensure projects can be carried out speedily and efficiently.
Lead weekly team meetings to help to communicate outstanding issues or initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional License preferred, but not required
EXPERIENCE:
Ten years relevant work experience required
Three years of supervisory experience required
Experience in the Electrical Power Distribution Industry with LV/MV Switchboards, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Protective Relays, Automation and MCC
Knowledge of the applicable Codes & Standards (NFPA, UL, IEEE/ANSI) related to Electrical Equipment
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external Customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others
Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
Strong leadership skills including, team leading, employee mentoring and development, and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
