Job Description:

The Fifty/50 Restaurant is currently hiring a FOH Shift Supervisor. We are looking for friendly and caring Servers or Bartenders, who enjoy being around people and working with a supportive team and are looking for a launching pad to a Management position within our group. The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group is a fast-paced establishment with great food, craft cocktails and wines. We are a fun place to work and a great place to start a new career. Candidates will be responsible for working serving and/or bartending shifts, floor manager shifts and assisting the Management team with the overall operation of a single restaurant. A Shift Supervisor will oversee their section as well as assisting their fellow co-workers on the floor. They will strive to gain in-depth knowledge of spirits and craft beer to ensure their Guests are engaging with them in a fun way! They will work with the Managers and Chefs in setting the direction of the business in day-to-day operations as well as a plan to grow the business, drive sales and manage costs. Must have the ability to run a smooth and efficient shift and be able to open and close the restaurant.
Essential Functions (Other duties will be assigned as needed):
Take beverage orders from GuestsLearn the names and personally recognize our regulars, while actively developing your own regularsServe alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our standard drink recipesRecord drink orders accurately and immediately after received into AlohaAccept Guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable)Maintain a strong knowledge of food items, ingredients and allergens in dishesClear and reset tablesPresent menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverageMaintain cleanliness in all areas including tables, couches, benches and ledgesReceive and serve food orders to GuestsAssist the restocking and replenishment of restaurant inventory and suppliesManage working with regularly updated Covid standards of cleaning and sanitizingInteract with, direct and Supervise Employees on a daily basis in a fair and dignified mannerPromote teamwork among co-workers and EmployeesBe hands on with all Front of House positions to ensure smooth and efficient serviceAuthorize and control comps/voids for all service personnelFollow up with Employees and co-workers to ensure completion of assigned projectsIdentify, address and document individual Employee performance problems according to standard operating procedureDiscipline and/or terminate Employees as necessary according to The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group proceduresAssign Employee workstationsUphold applicable policies and requirements of employment lawsBecome proficient in all job functions of Front of House EmployeesHave thorough understanding of and practice all Fifty/50 Restaurant Group Employee Handbook policies and procedures, Employee benefits and company philosophiesComplete projects as assigned in a timely mannerCreate atmosphere including lighting, music and temperature levelsAddress Guest issues effectively and courteously on an as needed basisUse tact and good judgment when dealing with Guests and respond to their needs with patience and courtesyEnsure adequate evening preparation levels based on business levelsPerform a pre-shift line check to ensure quality of all itemsPerform a shift "walk through" in order to asses staffing, maintenance, cleanliness, zoning and any special needsComplete opening sanitation checklist, assign sanitation projects to hourly staff and follow up with Employees to ensure their completionMaintain food quality standards including consistency and presentation
Other Functions:
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant Manager or immediate SupervisorComply with health and food safety standards, restocking items and cleaning
Physical Functions:
Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as neededMust be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to 8 hours or as neededBe able to lift 30 pounds frequentlyWill frequently reach, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in dataWork in both warm and cool environmentsHigh levels of noise from music, Guest and Employee trafficMust be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfishMust be able to work wearing personal protective equipment (face mask, gloves, etc.)
