SUMMARY - Enforces all aspects of the Quality Management System to improve processes, increase production output and improve customer satisfaction. Duties include creating acceptance criteria and testing the systems to ensure compliance. This position plays a vital role in the problem-solving process and creating technical documents in support of such. This position may be required to work daily, or weekend overtime and frequent travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  1. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment.
  2. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented, with a strong drive to meet team and company objectives.
  3. Serve as the primary contact to assigned suppliers and customers for all quality related communication, investigations, data analysis, and feedback.
  4. As the primary supplier and customer contact, create and monitor key performance indicators. Must also perform self- directed product and process audits to monitor adherence to the indicators and proactively implement continuous improvement activities.
  5. Travel to assigned locations for product and process audits, concern evaluations, product sorting and to support common understanding about part related issues.
  6. Utilizing technical writing and analysis, answer complaints using customer portals and/or internal corrective action documents.
  7. As a member of the APQP Team drive efforts to ensure all required activities are performed to satisfy PPAP requirements in accordance with approved timelines.
  8. As a member of the APQP Team provide key quality characteristic direction based upon design intent, lessons learned from previous or similar product lines and benchmarking activities.
  9. Evaluate new product samples, components, support with pack configurations and provide direction to the APQP Team utilizing technical data.
  10. Create, update and maintain Control Plans, PFMEA and Process Flow Diagrams following the requirements of IATF 16949.
  11. Deliver solutions to complex problems through in-depth analysis, DOE activities and use of problem-solving tools.
  12. Coordinate internal activities to ensure that all customer specific requirements are known and adhered to.
  13. Create and maintain internal quality standards and boundary samples.
  14. Create, issue and monitor quality alerts based upon internal and external feedback.
  15. Serve as the primary contact and SME to support internal teams to address quality related concerns and to develop quality control systems to improve the overall quality of the product.
  16. Perform daily process reviews to understand part quality and address as applicable.
  17. Initiate, coordinate and monitor sorting activities with internal teams and 3rd parties as applicable.
  18. Create and analyze data to generate quality related reports to support organizational direction.
  19. Ability to read and interpret drawings, CAD, technical specifications and other related quality documentation.
  20. Support and ensure compliance to TS 16949 and ISO 14001 utilizing internal audit process.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
