Job Description:

The Sr. Director Finance Planning & Analysis is responsible for managing critical non-Tech COE expense P&Ls across the United States Information Services (USIS) business unit at Equifax. This includes the development and management of financials for USIS Operations, Data & Analytics (D&A), Product, Marketing, Finance & Strategic Initiatives teams.

This individual will collaborate with SVP / VP stakeholders to manage COE expenses, coordinate with Revenue teams to align budgets with business needs, work with Technology teams to plan product investments, measure expense performance using KPIs, and contribute to productivity and transformation efforts. Additionally, they will partner with leadership to address financial and business issues, provide valuable insights, and support decision-making.
What you'll do


  • You will lead a team of 2-3 resources conducting fast-paced, complicated and interpretive financial analyses to develop estimates of spend for Equifax USIS COEs including headcount, critical vendor partnerships, real estate spend, data cost etc. In addition, you will drive Finance review and approval for new product introductions and enhancements to existing technologies and offerings.
  • Support the development of budgets and periodic forecasts which reflect objective assessment of market conditions, key business drivers, and key strategic and operating initiatives.
  • You will help provide proactive insightful financial analysis to enable the BU/COE to reach its short- and long-term strategic and financial objectives, directly interfacing with VP / SVP level stakeholders to deliver financial information in a concise and meaningful manner to foster effective decision making while driving appropriate action plans which respond to opportunities and issues.
  • Analyze and support preparation of financial and operating data, to help identify cost problem areas or profit enhancement opportunities. Support the development of recommendations for forward financial planning and for company financial committees; including short range forecast and long range budgeting.
  • Support review of our investments through the annual business case process including interface with the Tech teams and other COE teams to ensure inputs are considered, and return on investment is carefully considered
  • Perform and drive analysis of return on investment across Product and Marketing; provide insights to finance and business leaders to consider alternatives that enhance profitability while balancing risk of non- completion of project work.
  • Ensure development and reporting of Product level financials as well as understanding revenue enabled by D&A team
  • Partner with the D&A and Accounting team to ensure accurate capitalization of work including accurate forecasting of capitalization impact by month, projects are accurately loaded in Oracle Time & Labor (OTL)
  • Support monthly forecasts with driver-based models for key variables such as Headcount, including assessment of risks and opportunities for management review. Support annual budgeting and strategic planning process in support of corporate objectives and support quota-setting process for applicable sales channels and/or business units.
What experience you need

  • BA required in relevant field
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Managed teams of 2-5 resources in the past
  • Proficient with Google Suite, with expertise in Google sheets / Excel and Slides / PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion (HFM and Planning) and Tableau strongly preferred.
