Regulatory compliance and knowledge of NAFTA rules and regulation
Forecasting rail and Trucking logistic needs to support the operation.
Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Supervise and schedule Over The Road (OTR) drivers and Home Center drop loads.
Oversee proper and advance scheduling of loads and deliveries.
Ensure safety policies are in place and adhered to by all drivers.
Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience of logistics in the transportation industry including experience with over the road truck loads and rail lines.
Experience with collecting, analyzing, presenting, and reporting transportation data.
Knowledge of logistics systems and processes
Understanding of inventory management and forecasting
Experience with shipping standards, laws, and requirements including international shipping.
Knowledge of DOT, FRA, and AAR rules and regulations.
Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in TTransportation Management System (TMX) and all Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel spreadsheets.
Able to work independently and take initiative.
High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
Valid Driver's License with acceptable motor vehicle history for business travel in company vehicle.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Customer service background.
· Prior experience with logistics in lumber products.

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.

Repetitive use of hands – frequent for clerical duties

Hearing – preferred for awareness of surrounding machinery, mobile equipment, emergencies.

Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, airborne particles (sawdust).
