The Consumer Compliance and Supervisory Operations (CCSO) Division is responsible for supporting the end-to-end supervisory operations of business lines across S&R. The Centralized Bank Examination Services Team (CBEST) helps drive the success of partners by providing pre-examination products, services, and guidance to ensure consistency in Community Bank Safety & Soundness (S&S), and Consumer Compliance and Community Reinvestment Act (CC/CRA) examination processes. CBEST is responsible for preparing pre-examination analysis and packets (CC/CRA Packets, S&S supervisory and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) pre-scopes), performing data collection and risk identification of loan portfolio data, generating loan data samples, coordinating pre-examination meetings, and reviewing examination scope memo and examination request letter material.

The Supervision Analysis job family supports the supervision process for the Community, Regional and Specialty Bank (CRSB) Supervision, Large Bank Supervision, Risk Management, and Quantitative Analysis job families with analytics, data gathering and quality assurance. Members of the Supervision Analysis job family conduct analysis, perform research, develop and generate analytical tools through broad exposure to a variety of data and information tools.

The Senior Supervision Analyst draws on professional experience and knowledge to independently prepare supervisory data, conduct research and develop and generate moderately complex to complex analytical tools. The Senior Supervision Analyst independently disseminates information to key external constituents as well as internal constituents throughout the department and Bank.

The level of work is generally considered advanced, and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position has no direct reports.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Support business partners and the supervisory process by conducting data analysis and producing pre-exam packets (CC/CRA Packets, S&S supervisory and BSA pre-scopes)

  • Perform data collection and risk identification of S&S loan portfolio data provided by supervised institutions

  • Manipulate loan data to generate samples for transaction testing at S&S and CC/CRA supervisory events

  • Coordinate and facilitate pre-exam (CC sample discussion and S&S scoping meetings) and supervisory planning meetings

  • Review examination scope memo and examination request letter material

  • Develop expertise in the examination processes and using supervisory tools and other tools to optimize productivity

  • Draws on professional experience to support the overall supervision of financial institutions by preparing supervisory data, conducting research, developing, generating and implementing moderately complex to complex analytical tools and products

  • Draws on professional experience to collect and provide advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis for financial institutions that have moderately complex to complex supervisory issues

  • Independently prepares moderately complex to complex briefing materials for stakeholders within the department and Bank

  • Develops, implements, and leads project plans, timelines and milestones for complex projects

  • Creates and provides complex analysis, reports, documents and other correspondence to internal and external stakeholders

  • Independently evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of supervisory and reporting processes, procedures, programs and requirements; provides recommendation to improve such areas

  • Prepares and presents both orally and in written form, findings and assessments concerning complex matters or institutions to internal and external stakeholders

  • Builds and maintains strategic work relationships and networks with both internal and external stakeholders, such as other Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors

  • Serves as a mentor and/or coach; provides guidance, technical expertise and constructive feedback; trains and helps develop staff members 

Your Background:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Five plus years of direct work-related experience

  • Demonstrates the ability to understands and execute risk focused supervision and processes the ability to help others to do so; demonstrates the ability to apply complex concepts and inter-dependencies in completing tasks

  • Demonstrates technical aptitude

  • Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem solving skills

Location:

This position is hybrid. Your presence will be expected at one of the 7th Districts locations—Chicago, Detroit, or Des Moines.
