JOB SUMMARY:


The Lab Test Technician will assist in the transit products laboratory testing industry track fastening and electrification components. This will also include assisting in testing across our spectrum of products and R&D.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Assist in performing physical product testing supporting product design and development.

  • Conducts basic analysis of experimental data.

  • Collaborate with lab team on status of test and measurement equipment per ISO 9001:2015.

  • Responsible for maintenance and calibration of lab instrumentation.

  • Responsible for quality control checks of rail products.

  • Provide routine technical support for the engineering group.

  • Maintains and supports 5S initiative in the laboratory.

  • All other duties assigned.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent work experience required.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical role required.

  • Experience handling function generators and power supplies required.

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Demonstrated ability to perform some analysis data.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate within a team.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive initiative, especially in self-learning through in house training, classes/on-line material and maintain a robust body of knowledge.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs unassisted

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
