Littelfuse is seeking highly motivated fresh graduates to join our Engineer rotational program in the spring/summer of 2024. The RISE program is designed to develop the next generation of industry leaders through three engineering-focused assignments and learning opportunities within the organization. It offers a full-time permanent position that will enable fresh and recent university graduates to learn and grow across several functions before settling into a role that fits the participants’ strengths and interests. Each strategic assignment provides the skills and experience necessary to build a solid career foundation at Littelfuse.

RISE Engineers will experience three rotational assignments within 18 months where they will gain hands-on experience, formal training, coaching/mentoring, and exposure to executive leadership. They will also be part of a global community of program participants where they will learn from each other and have access to a wide support network. The rotations are intended to provide valuable diverse experience and maximize the participant’s learning within the 18 months. You will come out of the program with an enhanced skill set and a deeper connection to the organization and your peers.

In this role, you will be part of the New Product Development Simulation Department of Electronic Business Unit. You will have the opportunity to develop simulation/modeling skills, testing/validation lab skills, apply advanced technical principles and concepts in new technology and new product development.

About the Program:   


  • 18-month program that includes three 6-month rotations.


  • Permanent, full-time placement after the development program ends.


  • Potential rotations include: thermal/mechanical simulations, testing and validation, new product development, failure analysis, field application, and new technology development.


About the job:   


  • Develop thermal and mechanical models for fuses and other products.


  • Conduct validation tests including thermal characterization tests, mechanical stress-strain measurement, electrical tests.


  • Support new technology and new product development.


About the You:   


  • Recent graduate in an Engineering or relevant discipline in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science etc.


  • Thermal and mechanical simulation experience with COMSOL or ANSYS.


  • Experience with basic lab testing, electrical tests, temperature measurement, datalogger programming skills.


  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills, test report writing skills.


  • Highly motivated, continuous learning mindset, passionate about technology development.


Beneficial skills:


  • Experience with Mathcad, MATLAB, MiniTab


  • Experience with CAD program
