Job Description:
Location: Mount Prospect, IL
Salary: $95,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst for a permanent, direct hire position.
Hybrid near Arlington Heights, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Drive month-end accounting closing activities, ensuring accurate data integration into Hyperion Financial Management System.
- Support internal and external audits through meticulous preparation of necessary documentation.
- Conduct detailed scrutiny of monthly financial results, performing variance analysis against plan and prior periods.
- Develop financial models to bolster corporate, operational, and sales initiatives.
- Create and automate impactful reports, enhancing organizational knowledge and decision-making.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Lead the weekly forecast process preparation.
- Analyze financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Track cost trends, facilitating understanding of departmental expenses.
- Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years' finance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- ERP experience essential.
- Desirable knowledge: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Excel, SAP.
