What you will do

The Finance team for PGIM Investments, the global retail distribution business of PGIM, currently has an opening for a Finance Planning & Analysis Specialist Your role on this team will support senior management and other business partners in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the business, forecasting earnings generation capacity under various scenarios, assessing the potential impact of opportunities and risks, and advising on strategic initiatives.

This position is based in our office Newark, NJ.  Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

What you can expect


  • Lead the development and analysis of the global PGIM Investments budget by partnering with and supporting business leadership, Controllers, Financial Shared Services, and other key stakeholders in the US, Europe and Asia.

  • Manage the quarterly forecast process and related corporate deliverables; develop expense analysis to support key business decisions; assist in preparing the Quarterly Business Review presentation and related analytics

  • Perform monthly deep dives on budget variances (budget to actuals or prior forecast) to track and support growth initiatives and identify areas of opportunity for cost management

  • Assist in the preparation and participate in quarterly/monthly budget status updates with CFO and business leadership (ie. COO, CMO, CTO, etc.)

  • Support annual benchmarking studies and other competitive analysis

  • Partner with various senior leaders including the head of Human Resources to support headcount planning and various ad hoc headcount requests.

  • Assist in multiple ad hoc business analysis and projects

What you will bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

  • Prior experience in budgeting, financial analysis or reporting

  • Advanced Excel knowledge with proven ability to manipulate large data sets

  • Agile and organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands

  • Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results

  • Proven ability to develop PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with senior leadership

  • Strong technical skills and proven track record of process improvement and automation

  • Requires a high ethical standard and ability to work with confidential information

What will set you apart?


  • Working towards an advanced degree and/or relevant certification (MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus)

  • Experience with Oracle, Tableau, Power BI, and Anaplan a plus

The salary range for this role is from $75,200.00 - $101,900.00 USD Annual. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
