The OSS is seeking a Jr. Program Analyst (Researcher) /Obsolescence Analyst positions supporting US Army Aviation and Missile systems. The work is based out of Huntsville, AL.  The Analyst will generate sustainment, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and obsolescence related data, as well as provide recommendations on sustainment risk mitigation on aviation and missile managed parts. The Analyst will identify and evaluate industrial base-related obsolescence and sustainment risks associated with military aviation and missile parts.


In this role, you'll provide predictive obsolescence research, mitigation strategies, technical analysis, and engineering recommendations. You’ll work with Government, Industry, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to also verify and validate part numbers, part number availability, alternate part numbers, and national stock numbers for electronic parts and other components.  


 


Requirements:



  • High School & 7 Years Experience / Associates & 5 Years Experience / Bachelors & 4 Years Experience

    • Resume must clearly show the required relevant years of experience to qualify for the labor category



  • 4 to 7 Years of Job Relevant Experience

  • Experience with industry-standard parts and supply databases

  • Travel (some)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance (Note – Due to this requirement, candidates must be US Citizens)


  • Attention to Detail is Critical




  • Understanding of Parts Lists and BOMs




  • Excel Skills - Manage and Manipulate Data within EXCEL




  • Process Oriented - Will be Required to follow numerous processes for COTS and mircoelectronic obsolescence research




  • People/Communication Skills - Will be Required to work within the Research Team
