Group Product Manager, CRM at PPG INDUSTRIES INC

Job Description:

As the Group Product Manager for CRM and Marketing Automation, you will help shape and implement our strategy to improve customer engagement, retention, and acquisition. To unlock financial impact, you will lead a team through planning and funding approval, hire a team of product managers, and collaborate with teams including Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to guide the development, implementation, and process improvement of CRM and Marketing Automation solutions. You will report to the Global Digital Director.

This is a role will require 20-30% travel. It is based in Pittsburgh, PA (USA). Relocation assistance available.

Key Responsibilities


  • Scale CRM, Service, and Marketing Automation globally across PPG's Strategic Business Units and regions, with a focus on negotiating trade-offs to achieve 95% global template standardization and positive financial benefit.

  • Evolve and articulate a comprehensive strategy for CRM and Marketing Automation aligned with company goals and market trends.

  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap, considering customer needs, competitive landscape, and business objectives.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, translating them into actionable product features and enhancements.

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, testing, and release.

  • Define and monitor key performance metrics to assess product performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive optimization efforts.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.

  • Leverage customer feedback, data analysis, and market research to gain insights into customer needs and preferences, informing product enhancements and innovations.

  • Communicate product plans, progress, and updates to company partners, executive leadership, and external partners.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management or equivalent roles, with a focus on large scale technology projects, CRM and Marketing Automation solutions.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product plans.

  • Deep understanding of CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and related technologies.

  • Experience driving successful product launches and achieving business objectives.

  • Problem-solver with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
