Senior Business Analyst at MEDHOK, INC

Job Description:

Role Overview:  This position will support a business-to-business environment. In this role you will collaborate with development leads, account managers, and clients with the purpose of designing, building, documenting and testing solutions for data interchange and business processes. You must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will collaborate and coordinate activities with diverse groups, including stakeholders, sponsors, team leads, vendors, other project managers, and technical staff; producing high quality documentation artifacts; and a sound working understanding of IT concepts and the IT design & delivery life cycle.


Key Responsibilities: 



  • Works with business users to document current workflow processes and collaborate with users in identifying, defining, and documenting process improvement options and alternatives, as directed by business needs

  • Works with clients, users and PROD team to define and document business rules

  • Participates in testing, acceptance testing and implementation of information systems, modules and subsystems

  • Conduct System Impact Analysis with current and new proposed state

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal clients to analyze information needs and documentation needed.

  • Initiate JAD sessions and collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders including developers

  • Translating requirements into detailed technical specifications and participating in reviewing technical specifications with all teams and client

  • Review and approve requirement, design specifications, physical solution design, functional requirements, prototypes, and system testing.

  • Identifies required information fields and develop data dictionary. Participates in systems development efforts

  • Negotiation and cost-benefit analysis insights and should have experience in creation of reports and Dashboards 

  • Review operational workflows of high degree of complexity and/or for multiple departments, identifying problems and developing improvements, modifications, and enhancements.

  • Create Visio flows and Data flow diagrams for technical projects and create data API mappings. 

  • Articulates and presents business analysis results clearly and concisely

  • Develops requirements tractability matrix to be used in software development and QA testing

  • Document issues, resolutions and write specific requirements for system changes and troubleshooting issues to ensure issues as identified, tracked, and reported on and resolved in a timely manner, including the creation of test scenarios, testing data and understanding of outcomes

  • Provides user support during application software implementations


Education/Certification



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but will consider combination of experience and education  


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



  • Must have healthcare background – preferably with knowledge of pharmacy operations, Medicare or Medicaid

  • Critical Thinking and excellent communication skills 


Experience:



  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions and deployment of business requirements to information systems.

  • Technical experience or training in information technology or information systems 

  • Knowledge in SQL, Microsoft Visio, relational databases, ALM, JIRA ticketing 

  • Must be able to construct and execute SQL queries for data, technical and quality analysis

  • Previous work experience in a fast-paced Client centric service setting 

  • Experience in Systems Development Methodology knowledge/experience (i.e. SDLC, EDGE, and CMMI).

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Visio, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Programming Languages is a plus


Additional Requirements:




  • Hybrid-Remote: Candidate may need to work onsite in Tampa 3-5 days per month for team collaboration.

  • Occasional travel to Clients may also be necessary

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
