Job Description:

A 96-bed behavioral health hospital near Denver, CO, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be responsible for implementing and directing all hospital operations, while leading internal and external business development strategies. With a salary range of $200,000 to $235,000 per year, along with a 30% bonus potential, the total annual earnings for this position can reach $300,000.


The Behavioral Health Hospital CEO will provide visionary leadership, ensuring a "Clinical First" attitude to fulfill the hospital's mission of "Changing People's Lives." The Acute Psych CEO will develop and implement a strategic plan to guide the hospital's overall direction and growth. Fostering a collaborative and positive work culture will be essential to encourage employee engagement, teamwork, and professional development.


The CEO, Stand Alone Psychiatric Hospital responsibilities will encompass overseeing all hospital operations, including inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment for adults, adolescents, and their families. This includes managing the onsite Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and satellite PHP. Compliance with regulations, licensing requirements, and quality standards will be crucial to maintaining the hospital's excellent reputation. The Hospital CEO will develop and implement effective policies and procedures to enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction.


Driving internal and external business development strategies will be vital to expand the hospital's reach and impact in the community. The Behavioral Health CEO will build relationships and collaborate with physicians, community organizations, referral sources, and managed care partners. Identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, such as new programs, services, and partnerships, will be essential to meet the changing needs of the market.


Financial management will play a key role as the Psychiatric Hospital CEO develops and manages the hospital's annual operating budget. Monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-effective strategies will be necessary to achieve budgetary goals. Collaboration with the finance team to analyze financial data and make informed decisions will also be part of your responsibilities.


To ensure operational excellence, The Chief Executive Officer will champion a culture of continuous quality improvement. Monitoring key performance indicators, patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction will be crucial to drive improvement. Promoting evidence-based practices, implementing best-in-class clinical protocols, and ensuring adherence to industry standards will also be a priority.


Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a psychiatric hospital or behavioral health organization, is essential. Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality improvement methodologies are also required.
