Summary

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this position is responsible for compiling and recording data for use in maintaining procurement and financial records by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain insurance and contract compliance documentation

  • Administer credit card program

  • Enter and process receipts against purchase orders

  • Create PO's and provide coverage for Purchase Agents

  • Assist Purchasing Team with resolving invoice and receipt discrepancies

  • Review and research outstanding invoices and vendor issues

  • Analyze spend data and research order history

  • Ensure all activities within the procurement process are followed in accordance with best practice policies

  • Provide backup for Rochester area scale houses (4-5 days / month)

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High school Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with procurement tools, processes, and systems preferred

  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check

  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to employees, management, and vendors

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

Reasoning Ability


  • Able to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, written or oral form

  • Able to interpret written and oral instructions, and to read, analyze and interpret, operating & maintenance instructions or regulations

  • Able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls

  • Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus

  • Able to move/carry objects up to 25 lbs

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, when outside normal working environment.

  • The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud, but is typically moderate
