What you will do
As a member of Johnson Controls, the Data Transformation Program Manager will be part of the Global Products Hardware Engineering Center of Excellence. You will be responsible for execution of data transformation projects throughout the enterprise as JCI drives toward digital transformation with common PLM and ERP architecture solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders from engineering teams, IT, and third party system integrators. This is a phenomenal opportunity to learn about our different JCI products/business and get in depth knowledge on engineering/manufacturing data structures to help drive us toward common data quality standards and our digital thread objectives.
How you will do it
Understand the overall global data migration project objective, the scope of work, project schedule, different data extraction sources and expectations
Lead data transformation activities by building partnerships with multiple global engineering organizations across the corporation along with other organzations such as manufacturing, IT and third party system integrators (SI).
Lead with a risk management approach to ensure that data and execution issues are resolved by collaborating with business units teams and SI
Review and apply dashboard metrics to make appropriate execution decisions and provide recommendations on course corrections as needed to achieve objectives
Clearly communicate progress status, risk assessment/mitigation, and obstacle resolution plans to leadership
Track program budget, accounting for both capital and expense spending by month and by function; for over budget items, document action to recover budget.
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related field
8+ years of experience managing programs/projects involving electronic HW and SW development
Experience leading projects, managing large teams (dotted lined), and driving with customer centric stakeholder management
Effectively communicate in a technical environment, including in front of VP-level and C-level stakeholders
Experience with a wide variety of structured problem solving processes and reporting tools, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project. Power BI knowledge a plus.
Experience leading change management
Ability to support teams in different global time zones
