Summary of the Position:
The fabricator ll is responsible for fabricating customized food processing, moving systems and machinery, excluding fabrication activities related to pipe and tube media delivery systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs TIG welding/MIG welding/plasma cutting to fabricate and build custom machines.
Installs assemblies according to blueprints, engineering sketches and written instructions.
Works on special projects as needed using machine fabrication equipment such as a brake, shear, mills, lathes and plasma cutters.
Receives direction, guidance and mentorship from fabricator III. Observes safety rules, GMP’s and attends appropriate training.
Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years plus experience in welding and metal fabrication preferred.
