Systems Assembly/Installation Technician at Ground Force

Job Description:

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)



  • Pull and organize hydraulic parts according to specific job build sheets for parts sales and for installation on new OEM equipment

  • Utilize drawings and schematics to build hose assemblies and various parts

  • Test and install electrical and hydraulic components

  • Completing final connections to valves, pressure transmitters, and various other components

  • Pack various components, kits, etc. for shipping (OEM and parts sales)

  • Work with Systems, Service and Shipping to complete part sales

  • Help maintain inventory

  • Maintain a clean work space

  • Work on, in and around OEM equipment in a manufacturing atmosphere

  • Shop environment - assembly on a bench and installation on OEM equipment


Required Skills



  • Mechanical and technical aptitude

  • Occasionally requires crawling in and out of tight work spaces during installation

  • Strong organizational, communication and documentation skills

  • Team player, detail oriented, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision


Desired Skills



  • Experience with mobile equipment electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • The ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics


Education



  • High School diploma or equivalent

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Required to sit and stand at work station. Hands on work in the fabrication shop

  • Perform repetitive motions and lift up to 50 pounds. Employee will be required to talk, hear and specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision. PPE is often required


Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however can be severe and caution shall be executed with the use of PPE as required when working in the fabrication shop.  The noise level when working in the office will be minimal
