JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Build and nurture relationships with potential clients.  Act as liaison between agency and carriers to communicate product and coverages suitable for clients’ needs. Educate and inform clients about company’s products.  Prepare and present insurance proposals to address clients’ insurance needs.  Establish and maintain strong working relationship with carrier sales representatives, service centers, claim representatives, and underwriters.


Manage all aspects of new business and renewal accounts from start to finish. 


Work with peers to meet the strategic growth plan for the Commercial Lines team through prospecting and seeking best market available.


Develop and maintain strong relationship with bank partners to help develop referrals to and from each other.  Seeks out sales and relationship opportunities that can provide opportunity for growth of insurance and bank related services.


Demonstrates compliance with banking business laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to the position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


Bachelors’ Degree or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  CPCU and CIC preferred.    Must have experience with Word, Excel, and various rating programs required.   Ability to use an advanced agency management system a must.  Ability to work on complex insurance issues including designing total insurance programs based on risk analysis.  Bond knowledge an asset.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:


MA P&C license required.


CPCU and CIC preferred.


Valid Driver’s License required.
