Job Summary
The goal of the Sales Trainer is to increase the overall performance of the sales team by providing the right tools, skills, and knowledge to Go to Market Sales Team Members for them to be successful. Through effective training delivery, regular updating of training materials and content, and implementing improvements as needed, the sales trainer is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of a company’s sales training program which in turn promotes overall sales performance.

Primary Functions 



  • Prepares new sales representatives by conducting training and activities to support new team member onboarding; develops individual training plan; provides resources and assistance.

  • Conducts training sessions, events and learning activities for new and current Go to Market Sales Team Members.

  • Gathers and analyzes data from feedback and learner performance to measure training effectiveness and individual team member growth; incorporate enhancements into training programs.

  • Periodically observes sales encounters and collects feedback, results, and performance data of trainees after learning events; incorporate enhancements into training programs.

  • Serve as part of an administration team for the access LMS system and other systems used to support learning efforts.

  • Structures training plans to meet organizational and Go to Market team objectives.

  • Engage as an internal consultant with senior leadership and sales leaders to identify business initiatives and training needs to continuously improve team member sales performance.

  • Works with manager, peers and team members to build appropriate and long-range learning & development plans that will support business partners in Go To Market to achieving their goals

  • Assist with the development of training curricula to support those field products, services and regulatory compliance skills.

  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.


 
Education & Experience Required



  • BS or BA in Sales/Marketing, business management, organizational development, human resources (with emphasis on employee development, or related field. MS/MA ideal. Certification in adult learning or equivalent highly desired.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in delivering sales training, with the ability to effectively communicate market, sales, and customer concepts to sales teams in a remote (virtual) environment.

  • Previous experience in a sales role, sales management role preferably Business to Business or Channel

  • Technically adept in translating complex products and solutions in a way that is easily understood.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Significant expertise in value selling, consultative selling, sales process, sales coaching, and selling skills development.



  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation abilities, as well as a talent for fostering strong interpersonal relations.



  • Software proficiency: Microsoft 365 (Office), Salesforce required Learning content development tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) a plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience using adult learning methodologies, models, etc. (i.e., ADDIE, SAM, and others)


 


This is a remote position open to candidates in the U.S.
Salary: 80k+ 10% IC
