Hybrid Role

Position Summary

Under the management of
the Director, Planning Medical Affairs the Manager, Planning Medical Affairs is
accountable for leading and delivering project management activities related to
product planning, budget tracking and reports. This includes monthly accruals, facilitating
SOWs, invoices and submissions from key vendors for assigned Medical Affairs
functions and/or compounds for Taiho Oncology, Inc. (TOI).  In this capacity, the Manager will work with
relevant Medical Affairs functional members to ensure timely and fiscally
responsible execution of the Medical Affairs plan.

 

Responsibilities
and Duties:
 


  • Manages, drives, and reports progress to identify and
    assess fiscal and executional risks related to assigned Medical Affairs plan
    tactics. Discusses identified risks and the corresponding mitigation plans with
    MA team.

  • Drives and ensures timely implementation of assigned
    Medical Affairs functional projects (i.e. technology platform rollout and
    implementation).

  • Manage Statements of Work (SOW), contracts, and
    supporting documents to assess potential risks to delivery of Medical Affairs
    tactics and projects within budget and on time.

  • Manage the planning and implementation of Medical Affairs,
    national meetings, conference and scientific meetings planning including medical
    information booths.

  • Manages protocol governance activities to ensure
    alignment with Medical Affairs plans.

  • Facilitates the MAPIT meeting and helps assesses Medical
    Affairs operational efficiencies, improve ways of working and implement change
    management.

  • Support the Director, Planning Medical Affairs with
    Medical Affairs plan, annual and quarterly budget forecasting process, and
    departmental projects including Dashboards.

  • Responsible for the monthly Medical Affairs accrual
    process with Finance.

  • Supports head of Medical Affairs and Director Planning on
    key projects for process improvement as needed.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (e.g., BS, BA) is preferred.  Associate’s degree with equivalent
    pharmaceutical experience.

 

Experience


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the
    pharmaceutical industry; oncology experience preferred

  • Good time management, planning, and scheduling skills
    with a strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
    simultaneously.

  • Significant knowledge of key matrix teams (Marketing,
    Development, Finance, etc.).

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and function
    autonomously.
