Responsibilities

You will provide project design and support for capital projects for the Real Estate/Planning, Design, and Construction department with an emphasis on FFE management, move planning, logistics, and interior design/finish selection and coordination. This will involve reviewing design and furniture/equipment/construction proposals and contracts while supporting the design and construction of new construction projects. You will ensure all training and close-out documents meet contract requirements. You will also manage project review for conformance to regulatory requirements and organization policies. In addition, you will:
· Manage small design and construction projects
· Assemble design solutions
· Research product/materials, order samples, and product literature
· Research as-built records to establish baseline information
· Assist with space planning and FF&E studies, hand sketch, BluBeam or CAD
· Process construction submittals
· Develop minor interior signage and art requests
· Develop environmental profiles of materials in preparation for sustainability initiatives
· Coordinate start of tenant improvement projects
· Resolve punch list items with landlords in new lease space build-outs
· Formulate and develop project furniture program
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Experience with AutoCAD.
Ability to organize, facilitate, and expedite the work of others.
Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the objective and develop scope and drawings.
Ability to read and understand legal and technical documents.
Working knowledge of building codes, UCLA standards, and accessibility regulations.
Working knowledge of hospital projects, the California Building Code, Title 22, and the requirements of OSHPD.
Working knowledge of the design and construction project process.
Skill in establishing priorities to complete work in a timely manner despite changes in workload or assignment, pressure of deadlines, or competing requirements.
Demonstrate good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated intermediate level knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Blubeam.
Ability to work with different software products with minimal training and supervision.
Skill in analyzing data in order to be able to create spreadsheets graphs and charts that relay correct information for management report.
PREFERRED
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated one to two years professional experience in design and FFE related field
