Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Programming Machining Engineer located in Manchester, CT.

Reporting to the Tooling Manager, the  Programming Machining Engineer is responsible for designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required in order to meet products specifications.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Design and engineer moderately-complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as per product specifications.

  • Participate in design reviews.

  • Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis.

  • Implement cost effective tool design changes.

  • Collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling and final part approval.

  • Provide status reports as per established schedule.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment.

  • Programming optimization.

  • Machine operation support.

  • Development of systems, cost savings analysis and tooling opportunities.

  • Hard machining/soft machining of tool steel support.

  • Graphite machining of electrodes programming and operational support.

  • Development and refinement of Work instructions for efficiency

  • Process development, participation in apprentice training program, sharing of knowledge.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10-15 years of relevant molding experience

  • CAD & design experience as well as CAD Cam or similar type of software

  • Relevant experience in the medical manufacturing field
