About the Role

Essity North America Health and Medical Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer who will assume a critical role in ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of our advanced wound care products. The ideal candidate should live in the Manchester, CT area or is willing to relocate.

What You Will Do


  • Set quality standards for both in-process and finished products and materials and perform inspections when required;


  • Analyze customer feedback to identify potential flaws in the manufactured products and implement changes when necessary;


  • Take ownership of Continuous Improvement (CI) projects;


  • Lead investigations of product and process non-conformances and out-of-specification results and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA);


  • Apply quality principles, support process operations, analyzes quality records, reviews and approves reports, and recommends improvement;


  • Ensure compliance of all site personnel to site-level QMS and functional training requirements;


  • Provide quality engineering support related to development and sustaining product lines inclusive of design controls, quality plans, risk documentation, qualifications, validations, and development/review of quality related documents and records;


  • Perform supplier qualification and monitoring activities and maintenance of the Approved Supplier List (ASL);


  • Support and participate in quality related audits (Internal, Third-Party, and Supplier);


  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Who You Are


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field preferred;


  • 5+ years of relevant experience quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related role in a regulated industry;


  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred;


  • Knowledge of various Quality System and Regulatory Standards that are applicable to GMP Compliance;


  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 preferred;


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate and advocate;


  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.);


  • 10-20% travel required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary range $72,000 – $105,000 + annual incentive bonus + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
